15 Academic Success Center Academic Success Centers are located throughout the college (don’t wait to get academic help). Please take advantage of my office hours (both on campus and online) and the tutorial centers which offer a wide variety of tutorial services (they are available on each campus). Additionally, the Communication Center (writing/reading/bilingual services) is available in BACA 207 and can assist students with all English and Gordon Rule assignments. STEM (science/math) tutoring is available in BLRC 200, and Business & Technology (business/economics/accounting/computers) in BTEC 206. However, it should be noted that these resources are not for making up for missed classes. Tips for Succeeding in this Course checkbld A good guide is planning to study 4 hours for each credit hour of the course. For a 3 credit hour course you will need a minimum of 12 hours (4 X 3) of self-study time each week. This means an additional 12 hours of study time in addition to the time requirements for completing assigned work. checkbld Practice and repetition are the best way to ensure your mastery of the material. checkbld Keep practicing until you get a 90% or higher on your Homework Assignments, Chapter Quizzes, Chapter Tests, Unit Exam Reviews, and Unit Exams. checkbld Use the Open Forum for the Week to ask any important questions and to discuss important concepts. checkbld Complete all Reading Assignments. checkbld View and Review all Chapter Lectures. checkbld Complete and Review all Online Classroom Activities. College Policies Academic Dishonesty Cheating will not be tolerated, in any form!!! Please be advised that punishment for academic dishonesty may result in an automatic “F” in the course, and may include suspension or expulsion from the College.

16 Incomplete Grades – “I” An “I” grade may be awarded to a student when a small portion of the student’s work is incomplete (must complete at least 2/3 of coursework) and due to circumstances beyond the control of the student. An “I” grade must be removed before the end of the eighth week of the following term.
