very masterful potters at the moment they should look to expand their services to include more. As the customer base increases so too will the demand for their products like their plates and mugs for pubs. And most of their other home ware will defiantly increase when it is properly
displayed to the rest of the country. Not only that if they bring on more artiest then they can not only display but sell the art of their staff but also that of the community independent artists (Becherer 2004). In addition, they should also be considerate of the security issues that come with an internet presence and the effect that may have on their image. With the addition of the internet one has to make sure there are certain masseurs in place to take care of security. For example, they would want to look into the purchase of and upkeep of anti-virus and firewall products. As well as choosing an online payment method that is both secure and easy to use for the costumers. Future consideration for a permeate IT and marketing staff should be taking into consideration Hawthorn 2014). Another consideration should also be networking. This is an independent and alone studio all alone in the center of Pennsylvania. Along with its commerce concerns it should also consider the possibility of reaching out to other pottery studios in the state or even in the region. This would give them the opportunity to not only share their knowledge but to perhaps cross promote one another businesses. Networking can be invaluable to a business even a small one such as this. On time perhaps Stoneware could organize an art fair of its own in Danville. This would give back to the community for all of the support over the years and also bring in commerce for the town itself. While certainly not a main priority of the store it should be a priority that it considers in the future (Kazumori 2013). Section 4 Recommendations There are several ways in which I would improve the company of Stoneware. Both in the short term and in the long term goals. As far as the company is going at the moment they are doing fine. With their sales from the art fair and the products they are selling to local stores they are doing very well for themselves. But there are some improvements that I would consider if they were to take place. For starts I would have at least an informational web site for the company. This is almost a necessary in the modern times we live in. something simple that just lets the casual person know about the company and what they do and where they are. Directories are nice but they have nothing that will point to them that is made by them. Then in time perhaps an online market where they can take orders and ship products to other locations. As it is they sell a few pieces on EBay but from what I can find they are not very many and they are more the owners fun pieces. Having that service located internally will save them the fees that E-bay charges and also shift the focus more onto them. Midterm goals would be to relocate their main store. There current location is at the end of the street with no parking and very little rom.
