The top rates hospitals have a fewer rate of the infection because they reward their staff at theend of the year. Also, they provide more education to the staff. They also celebrate what’s called“CLABSI free year”, which other lower rated hospitals don’t provide it to the staff. During theresearch, there was two major issues that were brought up, one was the PICCs showed to bebetter to keep CLABSI infection down comparing to the CVCs, and the care acts need tonegotiate the legal rights and what is the cost increasing so much. In this study, a highly cost wasnoted with patients getting effected by the cost. The issues that were brought up was one, whyPICCs are more used or proven better then CVSs, and second why it is so expensive. Theresearch showed that, the cost was increased due to the length of the stay and depth of careneeded for each patient. MethodologyA qualitative method was used for this research, which basically means that data was collected by the person interviewing and then data was interpreted from the impressions of the interviewees. The data used a software to collect and analysis the information. The new preventative measure was during a six-month time to see results in decreasing CLABSI in the hospital occurrence. The data was collected from eight different hospitals and two different categories. The five hospitals were considered one of the best hospitals and the other three hospitals were in the lower rating. The research was among different staff, a total of 190 staff members were in the research. The data was collected with different staff holding different positions, it included physicians, administration, nursing staff and managers. The interview lasted anywhere from 45mintues to one hour. During the interview the high and low-ranking performance was mentioned and interventions were done to decrease CLABSIs. Two different group strategies
