The help and strategies that the social worker is giving to this young lady are remarkable. Signing her up for programs and getting her the needed prenatal care that will be critical for the delivery of a healthy baby. Helping her enroll in a GED program will go a long way to help with her ability to get a job that is needed to take care of herself and her child. Getting Brenna the proper therapy to understand that her abusive relationship was unhealthy and give her the strength to cut off ties with the father is a big step in the right direction. While it is not idea to advocate for the separation of a family, in this case when there is clearly too much abuse that could end deadly, it is a necessity. The social worker will need to continue to maintain follow up with Brenna to encourage her to continue her much needed therapy and make sure that she keeps away from Cameron. It may also be beneficial for Brenna to have a mentor that can encourage her to continue her education and go further in that area with the help of PELL grants or various scholarships she may be eligible for. This case was very hard to find other strategies and suggestions since the social worker has done such a remarkable job with the resources she has given Brenna access to. The
