provided all of the information presented below. Upon gathering both family and psychosocial backgrounds of Mrs. Francis, a comprehensive genogram was created, as well as an ecomap. The Francis Family Genogram AnalysisDuring the creation of the Mrs. Francis’ family genogram, it was evident that her family suffered from cardiac issues. In fact, her father, grandfather, son, uncle, and herself were all diagnosed with some form of heart disease, ranging anywhere from mild to severe. One noted common cardiac condition that five of her family members have or had is Hypertension, or HTN. Another condition noted to run in Mrs. Francis’ family is cancer, where both her grandmother and mother were affected. The five members of Mrs. Pauline Francis’s family who suffer or have suffered from heart disease include: Mrs. Pauline Francis herself, her father Larry, her grandfather Vernon, her son Omar, and her uncle George. At the age of 57, Adona, Mrs. Francis’ grandmother, died of colon cancer. Janice, the mother of Mrs. Francis, is 77 years old and has breast cancer. Cardiovascular disease and cancer both have familial tendencies, and the medical family history obtained can assist the practitioner(s) caring for Mrs. Francis tremendously. Additionally, promoting healthy lifestyle choices such as a healthy diet, managing chronic diseases, and maintaining a physically active lifestyle can also play an enormous role when formulating a treatment plan for Mrs. Francis (Valerio, Zwinderman, &Pinto-Sietsma,, 2016).
