can work together on the issue in the future. A2a. Personal Leadership Strengths The first strength that I demonstrate as a leader is that I am organized. For example, I use planners, calendars, checklists, and my Reminder app in my smartphone to ensure that any task that needs to be completed is marked on the appropriate date with an urgency level assigned to it.

C200 TASK 2 5 This helps me achieve my goals within the timeline I have set out for myself. When working within a team, I use my excellent organizational skills in conjunction with a Transactional Leadership style to get the job done. The biggest impact that being organized has on my leadership is that projects are done more methodically, efficiently, and everyone involved is clear on what their part is and when it needs to be completed by. “Transactional leaders organize and communicate what needs to be done, how it will be done, and the rewards and recognition followers will receive if the assignments are done satisfactorily” (Weichen, Sosik, & Riggio, 2012). This conclusion made by Weichen, Sosik and Riggio (2012) best describes how my impeccable organization skills relate best to the Transactional Leadership style. The second strength that I demonstrate as a leader is my excellent attention to detail. For example, when making appointments for patients, I ensure that I have the correct patient, medical record number and procedure. I also make sure that the patient has the appropriate labs done within the correct time frame and that the labs fall within a normal range to proceed with the procedure. Having attention to detail prevents patients from being inconvenienced by coming to the hospital and having to be rescheduled for a procedure if they do not meet the minimum criteria. In relating this strength to the Transactional Leadership style, Wei, Yuan, and Di state that “ The directive and detail-oriented approach can be effective in cutting costs of identifying the problem areas within an organization” (2012). Having the ability to save money due to being detail oriented is the largest impact within any company. The third strength that I demonstrate as a leader is clear and concise communication skills. For example, when I am working and there is an inpatient that needs to be added on for a procedure, I get the approval from the doctor and find out a time and if the doctor needs anything out of the ordinary for the procedure. Once I have that information, I contact the radiology techs

I then contact the second nurse so she is aware of the changes and then coordinate with the inpatient’s nurse and transporter to have the patient picked up. Martinez-Corcoles and Stephanou relate clear communication to the Transactional Leadership style by stating “a clearly defined and implemented system offers a work environment that removes the confusion” (2017). This leaves less room for error and more efficiency, which would be the greatest impact that this strength would have on leading by the Transactional Leadership style.
