For option C, to establish effective collaboration, Unilever need to look for partnerswho either share the same vision in sustainable growth or possess sustainable reputation.By choosing right partners, Unilever should be able to strategically align business with acommon goals. Then, it is necessary to market the partnership, build sustainable culture andspread values to both external parties and internal parties, especially employee trainingsystems. Similar to option A, the performances of the partnership should be revised, evaluated and enhanced yearly in order to reject underperform ones and focus more oneffective collaborations. With the combination of two options above, I believe that it will be more possible forUSLP to get its two off-target metrics, which are GHG and water usage, back to the righttrack. I would like to propose following recommendations. For GHG reduction, Unilevershould discover and use more renewable energy for its factories. Besides, it should cut downemployee travel and unnecessary business trips. Also, the reduction of GHG would be moreeffective if Unilever could organize more PR as well as educational activities to raise theawareness of consumers. For lowering water usage, the most possible approach is toimprove manufacture processes to increase efficiency of factories, reduce the requiredamount of water. Moreover, Unilever could concentrate more on products which use lesswater.
