Maintaining Integrity and Ethics of Professional Work Our words and actions can be misinterpreted by others, which can therefore hinder or affect our ethical decisions which is a very important practice to embrace in the workplace. As listed under the strategies for maintaining integrity at work, ignoring or choosing not to use those behaviors appropriately can have a great impact on her job performance as well as relationship with other staff members. One should be able to have the courage to say “no” if feeling overwhelmed or work is out of their scope of practice and practice the right things, so you don’t have to be pulled up for performance issues ( Haq, Rahman, & De Clercq (2019). Almost all organizations, abide to ethical morals and or standards. Professionals are expected to follow along with these standards which in turns produces great teamwork and allow for consistence and safe practices. Conclusion In conclusion, our practices through college years should consist of high standards, morals, professional and ethical behaviors, maintaining integrity, which later transfers to our work performances. Without the skills to be a student that is proud to develop her own course work with the help of experts ahead of us, we would not be able to produce job performances to a high standard. Our daily practices, behaviors, and job performance not only affect us as individuals but also the team with work alongside. Ethics is part of our daily professional decisions. Being dishonest, cheating, and or lying warrants us from losing trust which in turns demoralizes our professional integrity. Safety is a priority within the health care field and 14
