The Effect of Individual Differences and Organization Constraints on Decision-Making There are many individual differences in decision-making. Those can vary from personality, gender, and cultural differences to name a few. An individual’s personality can influence decision-making. These people tend to base their decisions on how they feel personally and disregard the facts. Gender can impact decision making because of something called rumination. Rumination is the focused attention on the symptoms of one's distress, and on its possible causes and consequences, as opposed to its solutions. This coincides with gender because it is theorized that women are more likely to base decisions on rumination.

Decision Making Paper Organizational constraints originate from performance evaluations, formal regulations, and time restraints to name a few. All constraints coincide with the organization and imposed regulations and system that are used by the organization. Ethical Considerations in Decision-Making There are three ethical considerations to examine before deciding- utilitarianism, rights, and justice. Utilitarianism considers the greater good for the greatest number of individuals. This is a decision that is made for the everyone versus self-proclaim. Decisions that are made based on rights consider fundamental liberties and privileges at stake. Justice is considered to impose impartial and equal distribution of benefits and costs.
