Technology design problem: Buying a wrong equipment or services often the right technology but wrong products or features. Overall problem with the design process: Lack of network design skills internally; didn't use external consultants or system integrators external network consultants or system integrators who bungle the project. RE: Threaded Discussion Sai Chandra Reddy Kotha 12/17/2016 5:24:47 AM Some major problems could be: Technology design problems: Buying wrong service or equipment with the correct technology. Product not working as promised or desired. Needs analysis problems: Inaccurate or incomplete requirements. Making changes to business requirements as the network is installed. Design process problems: Lack of necessary design skills. Consulting external network consultant or systems integrators who bungle the project. Lack of consulting external consultants to crosscheck the design for flaws. Examples: Tunneling/VPN (lost packets are ok the tunneled protocol takes care of it) Media streaming (lost frames are ok) Games that don't care if you get every update Local broadcast mechanisms (same application running on different machines "discovering" each other) Algorithms and IPv4 Reshma Ratnani 11/17/2016 6:46:16 PM The routing algorithm is a formula that is stored in the router's memory. The routing algorithm your protocol uses is a major factor in the performance of your routing environment. The purpose of the routing algorithm is to make decisions for the router concerning the best paths for data. Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) is the fourth revision of the IP and a widely used protocol in data communication over different kinds of networks. IPv4 is a connectionless protocol used in packetswitched layer networks, such as Ethernet. It provides the logical connection between network devices by providing identification for each device. There are many ways to configure IPv4 with all kinds of devices including manual and automatic configurations depending on the network type. IPv4 is based on the besteffort model. This model guarantees neither delivery nor avoidance of duplicate delivery; these aspects are handled by the upper layer transport. Network and Transport Layer Reshma Ratnani 11/19/2016 10:29:03 PM According to the book the problem to get management support is that network is a cost center and to get their support the following may be of benefit Speak management's language discuss growth in network use vs network budget

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
