The contributions to culture on arts, political influences, religion and communist notions prove to be a significant positive element in the leadership of Mao Zedong; However, arguments on the use of information as a tool of manipulation dispel the positivity. The leader proved to have his way despite the advice of some of the learned men in the authority table which in some cases like the Korean War, culminated in disadvantages for the Chinese. Besides, Mao Zedong takes relish in his strategies and fails to recognize the contribution of the navy which is not only selfish but also proof of narcissistic character. In that case, it is prudent to conclude that Mao Zedong was a successful leader in managing to establish principles that have stood out as the foundation for the development of China. However, the negative influences of manipulation and selfish intentions downgrade the achievements of the leader which has ignited reforms in modern times.
