inclusive and accepting environment for all. All three of the sources painted a very real portrayal of the struggles varying generational youth experience as Canadian citizens. Not only was ethnicity a challenge in identifying as a “Canadian”, but I also discovered the way in which intersectionalities further divided these youth. The brown boys struggled with their race alongside the relationship between it and their masculinity. The Filipinx youth struggled with the constant rejection of their “Canadianess”, or Canadian birthright specifically by White Canadians (Pratt, 2005). Their gender also played a role in their intersectionality. Through the stereotyping of occupations such as nurses, nannies, or caretakers, along with the sexualization of Filipinx girls, a disadvantage was at play. This was an extremely relevant topic, and I am glad we were able to gain further insight into the experiences of a multitude of generations as they make their way through Canada. I can only hope that Canada can learn from its downfalls and work towards creating a more inclusive environment for all.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
