Among other value chain activities that the company has adopted include marketing its products through its online sites. They provide information about the company's deep assortment of toys. The company enjoys a huge collection of tangible resources including buildings and computers. It is copyright-protected and therefore information from its sites about products and services cannot be used without authorization. The firm targets children and still offers all that parents would need by selling toys, furniture, and clothes. It has exclusive brands such as Babies R Us that come in distinct colors. STRATEGIC CONSULTING 8 The company has many super outlets in the US and internationally (Swot & Pestle, 2017). The logistic system that it uses is very advanced, and it has enabled it to create an enormous supply network. It also has a wide range of products Threats The Toy market is very competitive. Its primary competitors as indicated earlier are Wal- Mart, Amazon, and Target. Companies like Amazon have well-established online platforms that provide them with a competitive advantage than Toys R Us. In addition, differentiation is not easy in the toy industry, and therefore firms have to compete based on other issues such as price. Chinese firms have found ways to produce toys at cheap costs thus selling them at relatively low prices. Weaknesses Currently, the company lacks an outstanding competitive advantage apart from brand. Wal-Mart is currently the best toy seller in the United States since it offers better deals than the company of study. The former also focuses mainly on making profits during the holiday season, an issue that contributed significantly to its bankruptcy. Opportunities Toys R Us can engage in joint ventures with other major players in the industry. By working with the Amazon, the company creates opportunities for itself since the former is doing well in regard to online marketing (Swot & Pestle, 2017). Company Identity Analysis

STRATEGIC CONSULTING 9 Toys R Us' is currently facing many challenges which include a huge debt load. This led to many analysts wondering what was going on behind the curtain. The debt engineers were three companies (KKR, Bain Capital, and a Vornado firm) and as the debt piled, the company found itself in a situation where it was required to pay 400 million dollars as interest annually (Klein, Townsend & Ronalds-Hannon, 2017). As a result, it is weak and not able to fit in the toy- industry climate that is changing at a very fast rate. For example, it could not establish effective online strategies as its competitor, Amazon. Its differentiation process in the competition with big companies like Wal-Mart was slow.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
