The optional homework for each chapter opens at thesame time the required homework for each chapter is available and remains open until 8pm onthe last day of the quarter, Friday, June 24, 2016.
2.IN CENGAGE, complete the required homework.Assignments contain between 5 and 10problems. For each homework problem, you will be allowed one opportunity to “check yourwork” followed by 2 submission attempts. Assignments will be available at the beginning ofeach week (Mondays at 1am) that we start a new chapter. Homework is due the followingMonday at 8pm – late assignments are not accepted, no exceptions. For each assignment, youwill receive a percentage score for your homework which will be multiplied by 10 points totranslate it to a point value. We cover 8 chapters which makes 80 points and there is an“Introduction to Cengage” assignment in the first week which is worth another 10 points – thefinal 10 point homework assignment is a freebie, you’re welcome! Solutions are availableimmediately after the assignment closes for grading (Mondays at 8pm), it is your responsibilityto review the solutions to discover your mistakes - I will not explain homework solutions(except during office hours, after you have unsuccessfully attempted to discover your mistakesafter the assignment has closed for grading).3.IN CENGAGE, complete the quizwhich comprises 10 multiple choice questions, each worth1 point. The quiz for each chapter will open at the same time as the respective requiredchapter homework and remain open until the respective chapter homework is due (Mondays at8pm). The quiz will be timed – once you start it you will only have 20 minutes to complete it.There will be 8 quizzes as we are covering 8 chapters. I will drop your lowest three quizscores. If you fail to take a quiz during the allotted time or have any technical issues (causedby you, Cengage, or anyone/anything else), you can’t make it up – instead it will be one of thethree quizzes that gets dropped.
