or might convict them of a crime. These stereotypes allow others to dominate and oppress those they discriminate against. Those who are privileged claim that they have been given life chances. However, if that is true, then how come others haven’t been able to access those same chances? The answer lies in the fact that those chances are made by privilege. Those who can't afford the same things as someone else might, can’t make the same life chances that happen to have been given to someone more privileged. People who are different are considered as being something other than the normal. They are supposed to fit into stereotypes and act within those stereotypes. They are discriminated against in daily life and are subjected to less opportunities than those more privileged than them.
