The Board in relation to key changes to the bank’s corporate governance Management regarding implementing the Board’s strategy Human Resources Department in relation to employment practices Employees in relation to professional behaviour toward colleagues and customers The overall culture of the organisation. I will be identifies the two highest priority areas based on the research. The first one is the board in relation to key changes to the bank’s corporate governance. The reason why I choose it as one of three highest priority areas is that the board is the level of management; therefore their action and behaviour can influences to their employees and officers. For example, the board recognise the scandal or misconduct in the firm, and then apply with Rest’s four- component Model. The first step is moral sensitivity; they should face it rather than ignore the issues, then start to figure out the way to deal with the issues, which is moral reasoning the second step. The third step is moral motivation; in this step, the board have to prioritising moral values over personal values individually then there is an intention to do what is morally right. The last step is moral character, in this last step the board have enough ego and confident to deal with the issues and ready to overcome any struggles or obstacles. The second one is the overall culture of organisation. Culture of organisation is very important. For example, if that organisation have a culture of acting unethically, then there is a high percentage that the organisation; and employees and officers will continue to act unethically too. Therefore, if we apply the Rest’s four components model, we could always expect the organisation to recognise the scandal on behalf of all stakeholders. Then consider a way to deal with it ethically. Then the organisation motivate their employees and officers to act ethically by reward to who act ethically and punish who act unethically. Finally yet importantly, have enough motivation and prepared skill that ready to deal with the issues as an organisation.
