DC Circuits In this portion, we were asked to build a simple DC circuit, to familiarize ourselves with circuit production and testing in Multisim . Figure 1 shows this circuit, fully built in the program. Figure 1. The circuit built in part I.

II. DC Simulation For this section, we took the circuit from part I (Fig. 1), and simulated it. Simulation, in this context, means “running” the circuit such that current is allowed to flow through it. Once the circuit has been simulated, one can use probes to analyze it, as shown in Figure 2. Dependent Sources In this part, we replaced (Fig. 2) with a dependent current source, dependent upon the voltage going through the resistor . As we wanted the current to be per every Volt going across the resistor, we found . This is shown in Figure 3. Figure 3. IV. AC Analysis In this procedure, we built an entirely new circuit, except with an AC source instead of DC. With the new power source, we also used two new components, a capacitor as well as an inductor. This circuit is shown in Figure 4, while its oscilloscope output is shown in Figure 5.
