everything off his desk. He is somewhat behind his peers in social development. In general, Michael has difficulty learning new skills and generalizing new skills to new and different environments. According to the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale, as of last year, Michael had an IQ scored at 50. The Brigance DiagnosticComprehensive Inventory of Basic Skills indicated that overall, Michael was functioning at a kindergarten to 1stgrade level. Last year, on the Word Recognition test as well as the Spelling test, Michael scored on a Grade 1 level. He also scored Grade1 on the Problem Solving test. Michael was unable to complete the Reading Vocabulary Test, the Word Analysis test, or the Sentence Writing test. The IEP team has considered the use of goals and objectives in his current IEP and feels that a combination of both best meets his academic needs. The IEP team feels that Michael will be able to reach a solid 1stgrade level proficiency in all areas within the school year. Page 6 of 27
