drawback and that it requires investing time and resource learning to be able to compete for attention . For that reason alone not many small businesses choose to invest time in social media
Guevara 2 or sometimes the just don’t have the resources to do it. They are more worried about other problems in business than worrying about social media. To small business owners as long as they are having costumers they are happy with that and will continue to be until they stop coming of course. Although using young employees to help with social media I think it not as good because typically young people into social media don’t have any experience in the marketing aspect. That’s really important because in social media it’s important to know the audience and to know your content (CYR 2015). Young people for the most part post whatever they feel like but they aren’t worried about who sees it or what they put out their simply wanting to get attention is their goal. In that aspect getting attention is good for a small business but what kind of attention the business will be receiving may be unknown . But I do agree that business education should teach students on how to used social media for marketing purposes. We live in a social media world in where it’s all around us and maybe back then before social media it wasn’t important but now it’s a must know. Bringing together social media instructions in entrepreneurship and business management can help small business firms (Bakeman 2010).
