Development of Human Service In the 1960s, significant changes in social service happened in the United States, which saw much disruption culturally and politically. Things like wars against drug use, protection of women’s rights sex violation, creation of awareness on civil rights, and protests against war illustrated disruption. According to Li et al, 2018, the significantly changing economic and social conditions, in 1960, the Family Service Association of America (FSAA) reviewed the range and significance of service agency to a typical family. Possible changes over time Legislation of social welfare was taken up by the federal government, which funded it, thus completely changing human service organizations. In John F. Kennedy, the congress passed various Acts, for instance, Social Security amendments, workforce development, and training activities, and Community Mental Health centers, which increased social workers' role of job training and counseling. The states were funded by the federal government, which enabled them to get professional services from both the private and public organizations and even from other bodies like Non-Profit organizations. The FSAA also collaborated with the state government, which saw the creation of new programs that improved addressing specific problems. Despite the many benefits federal funding had, several challenges faced FSAAs. Among the challenges is an overreliance on the financing, which agencies saw as a risk in case the funding ended.
