of the Bible, you can read about this whole process. So God created the world and on the sixth day of creating, He made two humans, Adam and Eve. He created them in His image, with no sin in them. Stella: What is sin? Me : Sin is anything that takes our attention away from God. Stella: So, like alcohol and drugs? Me: Precisely. Me: So God gave Adam and Eve some instructions that they were supposed to follow in x

this garden. Adam got to name all the animals and they were not supposed to eat the fruit from one tree that God had specified. But one day, Satan tempted them and they disobeyed God and ate fruit from that tree. They knew that had disobeyed and they tried to hide from God. But He sees everything. He knows our thoughts. But instead of harming them, He had mercy on them. There were consequences for their actions though. From then until the end of time, sin would be a part of earth. But, there was another way. A Way that we could still come to Jesus. Stella: So, how can I still go to heaven, even after all the bad things I’ve done? Me: God made a way. He sent His Son to earth as a child. He was born to a virgin named Mary. This child grew into a man and while He was on earth, He taught the people about the Way. He spent His time on earth telling people that the way to get along with people is to love. To love Him, as He loved us, but to also love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Did He mean everyone? Absolutely He did. He healed the sick, raised dead people to life, and made lame men walk again. He had a power that no one could comprehend. While He was on earth, He chose twelve men to be His best friends. He told them that, after He dies, He wants them to carry on His message of love and forgiveness. Stella: So, did everyone like this man Jesus? Me: No. There was a group of Jews who did not want to listen to Him. In fact, leaders of their religious groups wanted nothing to do with Him. So they went to the leader of their town and said that this man is preaching lies and that He should be put to death. Stella: Put to death?! Why? He was healing people! He was teaching them to love! Me: I know. But they were jealous of Him. So one day, they went to the leader of their xi

town and had Him agree to let them crucify Him, which is when they nail Him to a cross. They nailed Him to a cross, He died, and they thought that was the end of Him. But remember, He is God, right? He was raising the dead, healing the sick, making blind eyes to see. They put Him in a tomb, as was custom in their time, and rolled a big stone in front of the tomb so He could not get out. Funny, right? A dead man walking out of a tomb. But, after three days of Him being in the tomb, His friends went to visit His tomb and found it empty! He had risen from the dead! He spent a little more time on the earth, but then went back to heaven where He lives today.
