(2017), I will be able to utilize a statistical data engine such as Stat Crunch to perform a correlation analysis between all of the available data to determine if there is a statistical correlation between states with a higher rate of gun laws to gun related crimes along with states with a lower rate of gun laws to gun related crimes. A correlation analysis would be appropriate as it is a number that identifies the strength of a relationship between two variables (Gould & Ryan, 2013, p. 183).
