(eff. 5/1/05 TL:SR 650)*For the lease penalty expense portion, only one of the employees at the samepost may be reimbursed for an unavoidable lease penalty under section 252.4.252.8 Home Service Transfer Allowance and Separate Maintenance AllowanceFamily members for whom a separate maintenance allowance (SMA) was authorizedwhile the employee was in a foreign area, shall not be considered members offamily for the purpose of the home service transfer allowance unlessofficialtransportation was authorized permitting those family members to join theemployee at the new post of assignment in the U.S.253 Advance of Funds for Home Service Transfer AllowanceAn advance of funds may be made for the home service transfer allowance through theauthorized disbursing officer.The amount of such advance shall not exceed the maximumrate of the wardrobe portion (if applicable) and subsistence expense portion and thenon-receipt amounts of the miscellaneous expense portion and the amount of unavoidablelease penalty authorized in accordance with Section 252.
