10.You work for a NASCAR team.Apply the principles of impulse and/or momentum to developsomething or improve something about the car to protect the driver. –The car is the object that iswithstanding an impact upon a crash, so creating a car to absorb the most of or all of theimpact of a crash, will prevent any injury to the driver, as momentum comes to a slow stopupon impact to the driver, as the car absorbs all the force.11.You work for a NASCAR team.Apply the principles of impulse and/or momentum to developsomething or improve something about the helmet system to protect the driver. –Helmet systemsneed to absorb almost all momentum to stop from the head impacting the helmet or anotherobject. The helmet should be able to fit securely, and should be energy absorbing to the pointthat the driver shouldn’t even feel an impact.12.You work for a NASCAR team.Apply the principles of impulse and/or momentum to developsomething or improve something about the walls around the track to protect the driver. –Wallsaround a NASCAR track should be flexible and absorbent, allowing for less abrupt impactswhen a crash occurs, this will create less energy from the start in an accident and will protectthe driver.
13.Apply Newton’s 1stLaw to develop something or improve something about the car, harness, helmet, or walls around the track to protect the driver.– Creating technology to stop an accidentfrom even occurring would be the best case scenario, as no impacts would occur and nomomentum could be built up for any injury to occur. With Newton’s first law, if the car issmartenough to avoid an impact with its surroundings, there technically wouldn’t be anyexternal force to create a accident scenario, thus allowing for the safest scenario wherevirtually nobody could get injured.
