United Kingdom as Asda. The other countries in which the Company has established stores are Japan, India, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Canada. The Company is the world’s largest, in terms of revenue. In 2018 alone, the Company accumulated a total of about $ 500 billion (Ma, Tong and Fitza, 2013). It is also the largest private Company in the world that has a high employability index. For instance, currently, the Company has over 2.3 million employees. It trades publicly as a family-owned business under the leadership of the Walton family. The Walton's children own more than 50% of the country's shares through the enterprise or individual holdings. In 2016, the Company was regarded as the largest U.S. grocery because of the amount solicited from the sales amounting to $ 478.6 billion within the country.

THE WAL-MART CORPORATION 4 In 1972, the Company was for the first time listed in the New York Stock Exchange. By 1988, the Company rose beyond the ground to become the most profitable retailer. By the beginning of the 1990’s, the Company had begun accumulating huge amounts of revenues due to the establishment of many stores in the country. In November 1989, the club in the name of ‘Sam’s Club’ was opened in the country in New Jersey. The first outlet ever to be witnessed in California was opened in 1990, in Lancaster while that of Pennsylvania was opened in October 1990 (Ma, Tong and Fitza, 2013). In its investments in North America, mixed reactions in terms of results have been witnessed. However, the operations in the United Kingdom, China and South America are all regarded as successful. Investments in South Korea and Germany all backfired. Job Analysis and Design The critical point in the success of the Wal-Mart Corporation is the ability to manage the human resource. Consequently, the ability of the Company to offer services and goods to consumers is very effective and convenient. This means that the Company’s human resource is the one responsible for the success of the Company and ultimately, the amount of output. The HRM strategies aim at increasing the performance of employees which influences high sales ( Shuck and Reio, 2014) . In the context of the Job analysis and design at the Company, the Organizational design is the most critical focal point of focus. The Company’s organizational structure is such that it successfully implements proper managerial strategies for the human resource. Wal-Mart has a hierarchical functional structure which is responsible for the management of the Company’s human resource ( Rosli and Mahmood, 2013). The structure is also responsible

In other words, it is the sole responsibility for the characterization of different types of jobs. The structure has clear distinctions between authority, lines of command and communication criteria.
