associated with increased risks of schizophrenia, severe depression, and other non-affective psychoses (Canete-Masse, Pero-Cebollero, Gudayol-Ferre, Guardia-Olmos, 2018). A treatment could be psychotherapy. Psychotherapy will help a person with their abilities to cope with the stressors by helping them identify the negative behavior and replacing it with positive thoughts, this will help regain healthy relationships with their family, friends and also co-workers. There is a stigma that society has about mental illnesses. The stigma leads to discrimination and prejudices. Once a person is diagnosed with having a mental disorder you lose many opportunities in life due to the stigma. There are many people in our society who believe that one should learn how to deal with their own issues and if you ask for help you are known to be weak and inferior. Many people would feel more comfortable, more accepted if we were to be able to change the idea of mental illness. They would feel more comfortable and ask for help and also live a healthier and better life.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
