provide a medical home for many patients that are currently without a physician, due to lack of access. The model of policy making that I feel would be best applied to this policy issue is the rational- approach method. This change of state regulations is not something that can quickly be done. It involves many stakeholders and affects many people. I feel this policy issue is large in scope, not only for the state of Missouri, but also many affects many other states in the U.S. The APN role has developed over time due to further education requirements and lengths of programs, which has evolved the role and broadened the scope of practice abilities. This is not a policy that can be or will be changed overnight. I think the recent health care crisis involving the aging population and need for more primary care providers proves that the current regulations of the health care policy need changed. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
