applicable knowledge. Finally, I feel that an effective learning environment has components of cognitive dissonance. At the time it may be difficult for a student to think differently or be pushed, but I believe that challenging minds adds to the effectiveness of the learning environment (Tulbure, 2011). Goals are very important to me as a teacher. Every student has their own individual learning and it is my job as the teacher to help them create goals for the school year. By setting goals, students can improve their academic performance and motivation to achieve. They can also increase pride and self-confidence in the students. The students’ role in the education process is to further their goals by working hard to accomplish them (Ames, 1992). As a teacher, my role is to prepare abundantly for my class.
