FEDEX 7 The first solution to the problem caused by the occurrence is to insure the cyber system of the company. It is not easy to make projections on future outcomes. In addition, some issues arise from within, and they are not easy to detect. Consequently, an insurance contract would be the best solution to any uncertainty. FedEx should, therefore, approach an insurance company that would cover its network. First, it should evaluate the whole network to determine that only the riskier segments are protected. One of the disadvantages of this approach is that it is not cheap. The company has to pay premiums even if such incidences do not occur. This, in turn, would bring about more expenses for the firm. In addition, the insurance company has some conditions that have to be met before compensation, and if any of them is not put into consideration by the insured, its premiums will have gone to waste. Prioritizing Security Just like the company was concerned about ensuring that its supplies were from alternative sources, the company should have made the security of the company a priority and create objectives that would need to be achieved. One approach that it would have used is educating all the employees about the importance of protecting the system. FedEx should ensure that through the program, employees are able to understand how the firm's growth is linked to the cyber network. A training team should be put in place to implement the program and then create a plan for evaluation of the same. The main advantage of this approach is that the company will be able to develop an effective security team made up all its employees. However, its disadvantage is that the process would be expensive and would also distract employees as some of them would find it hard to balance between the training sessions and their office work. Limited Access

FEDEX 8 A strategy to ensure only specific individuals have access to the company's critical cyber network information should be put in place. A reconfiguration should be done to "kick out" individuals who could bring about problems. Furthermore, a small number of individuals would ensure that the company has effective control on the system. However, this strategy would also be expensive and would affect the normal daily activities of FedEx. Reflection This assignment has helped me to understand the importance of protecting the system in which I work for. Currently, I know that the security of a company's network depends on the personality of each employee. If a company fails or is closed, employees risk losing their jobs. Academically, the assignment has helped me to improve my research skills. It helped me to understand how to combine information from different sources and to be able to create a connection between them. In addition, it has boosted my ability to relate different information with a single concept or topic of study. As a professional leader, I have learnt about the importance of engaging employees in the protection of a company's network system.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
