Because it is not a formal treaty, it doesn’t need Senate approval SIGNING STATEMENT -Public statement written by the president & attached to a particular bill to outline the president’s interpretation of legislation SPECIAL PROSECUTOR -Independent, private- sector council hired by Congress to investigate government officials IMPEACHMENT -Process by which the House of Representatives formally charges a federal government official with “Treason, bribery, or other high crimes & misdemeanors”
