they desire. Women are able to recognize and effectively deal with social and gender role constraints. They are empowered with the strength to face obstacles like autonomy, demand for strength, and competition. This lowers their chances of vulnerability and sensitivity ( Pedwell & Whitehead, 2012) . Women’s Roles Gender role barriers influence division of tasks between men and women. Although women are still viewed subserviently within some societies, nonetheless, gender differences and the roles each gender play have undergone evolutionary process since their interception. The way humanity view and portray women and the roles they play have been revolutionized. In the ancient times, the roles of women were limited to domestic activities, looking after their husbands and children, and child-bearing. Unlike the past, women have taken up the roles solely believed to be for men. The society has gained an understanding that women are equally capable as men in playing their roles ( Canda, Chatterjee & Robbins, 2012) .
