Additional details and components : A.  You will receive one full week  in class to work on the board game (5/28-5/31; four days).  Each of those days you will be keeping a  personal log of individual and group contributions to the project.  You will also be critiquing each group member on their participation and  daily effort, and you will receive an individual participation grade .   B.  Lastly, you will also turn in a 2 page typed paper  that answers the question below. Your paper should be double-spaced, Times New  Roman, size 12 font, and include no heading except your name. o Final Question :  In a broad overview, discuss how Europe transformed into the group of modern nations we know today.  Discuss larger historical themes starting with industrialization and trace how European countries (France, Britain, Germany,  Italy, Russia) evolved from nation-building & expansion into a continental struggle for peace and economic/political cooperation.  You should use specific examples of various countries and their leaders/ideologies and how they helped or hindered the emergence of  a modern state.   Grade Value & Due Dates : The Board Game will be due on  Wednesday, June 5 th  and the paper will be due  Friday, June 7 t h . Board Game: 80 points Participation Grade:  20 points Paper:  25 points TOTAL GRADE : 125 points
