As the data or the value of distance of a specific mass is nearer to the fulcrum, it shows a balance of system. While putting the mass farther on the fulcrum, it causes unbalanced system. II. Conclusion A. Overall success of the experiment Completely analyze the systems that are in rotational equilibrium and determine the weight of the rigid body using the 2 nd Condition of Equilibrium. The weight of the pan was determined, as well as the weight of the beam. B. How the concepts were used in the experiment The concept torque is used to determine where is the moment of force in which the moment of force is necessary to obtain the overall success of the experiment. On the other hand, the concept of 2 nd Condition of Equilibrium was used to establish the right amount of the mass to be added. It is also used to obtain the right distance of the mass to the center or to the moment of force. C. Insights, Understanding and Learnings This experiment let us gather different concepts regarding torque and some information pertaining to the nature of it and how can torque be applied in the real-life situation. This experiment also includes various information concerning the same conclusion to be observed, despite the difference in the position of point of rotation. D. Application to Engineering and to My Field of Study Having knowledge on equilibrium is important to engineers, especially aspiring engineers. This is applied in construction structures such as bridges, dams, and buildings. Before construction, all the forces acting on it must be carefully analyzed to come up with a design that can tolerate these forces In my field of study (Civil and Environmental & Sanitary Engineering), torque, 2 nd Condition of Equilibrium is necessary topic because it includes different applications that I can use in my entire studying of my course and at the same time, without equilibrium, engineers can’t balance their time management that will lead to failure.
