were protected or unprotected. Findings usually include a chancre, usually one but can be more, painless ulceration (Dains et al., 2016). 2. Genital Warts – External genital warts (EGW), also known as condylomata acuminata (CA), are one of the most common forms of sexually transmitted diseases affecting the general population ( Yanofsky et al., 2012). In adults, this usually presents with a history of new or multiple partners and/or a history of warts. Physical findings may include moist, pale-pink, verrucous projections on base, located on vulva, vagina, cervix, or perianal area (Dains et al., 2016). 3. Herpes (Genitalis) -- Herpes genitalis is among the most common sexually transmitted infections; it is caused by the herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) and also, increasingly, the herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) ( Sauerbrei, 2016). The primary mode of transmission for this condition is through direct contact. This could correlate to the patient’s report of multiple partners within the past year, along with prior history of a known STI. In this condition, usual findings include grouped vesicles on red base, erode to an ulcer (Dains et al., 2016). 4

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
