Piece 1 Among at least hundreds of people, we see Adolf Hitler in the center and the surrounding crowd doing the Nazi salute During Reich Party Day, Adolf Hitler gives the Nazi salute in front of a large crowd, and beside him is Herman Goering. This was used as propaganda because it showed there was unity in being part of the Nazi party. It showed strength in numbers and encouraged German nationalism. Piece 2 A blue book cover with several mushrooms whom have long faces and the Jewish symbol on them. There were several children’s books during the Nazi-era that encouraged anti semitism; the Poisonous Mushroom is an example of one of them. This was used as propaganda to encourage Hitler’s message for clearing the world of Jews as they poisoned the mind and the pure genetics of Germans. Mushrooms are seemingly innocent and harmless vegetation, however many of which can be extremely deadly and dangerous, even if a similar looking one wasn’t harmful.
