implementation of this magnitude RWJF will assure that it progresses at a more rapid pace. This is because the RWJF is very experienced and many of their members function in the role of human resources. Due to the involvement of the RWJF, there are stages through which this policy proposal is going to successfully pass. C1a.
Policy 10 In the article “Charting Nursing Future”, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation discusses P4P proposal in nursing. RWJF believe that P4P will have better outcomes for patients and health care organizations. Its’ important that nurse leaders understand the importance in being fully involved with all related nursing issues (Grace, 2009). RWJF respects the nursing profession and work to find ways elevate the profession by evaluating the outcomes of their performance. C2. I have used three principles of community-based participatory research (CBPR). The principles consist of building on the community resources and strengths, co-learning and capacity building, and long-term commitment by all partners. The first will be achieved by creating and encouraging all participants to freely share and exchange ideas and knowledge that will benefit the health care delivery system. Another important principle is I will advise all participants involve in the proposal to work together and allow their resources to accomplish the proposed change. Finally the last principle involves building on the strengths and resources of the community and involves uniting all stakeholders to established plans and resources to the success of the proposed policy. C2a. I am going to start the process of getting in touch with the RWJF by corresponding to several leaders placed in different division throughout the nation. This is how I will notify those in the position the reasons for desiring they services over other organizations. The letters also serve as an invitation to the RWJF to the conferences where they will receive all the information that will feature both short-term and long-term development on how to approach policy implementation. These meetings will discuss the different responsibilities to various participants associated with the policy implementation.
Policy 11 C2b. There is uniformity associated with the goals of this policy proposal and to the RWJF. By rewarding for performance and penalizing for sub-optimal performance is how this policy will improve the quality of health care. The RWJF is committed to create a culture of quality and improve on the services for all beneficiaries. Their mission statement reads “to improve the health and health care of all Americans (Robert Wood Johnson Foundation). Their policy is to look out for the wellbeing of all patients by ensuring that there are quality health care services for all. Nurses and health care organizations will also benefit from RWJF commitment to the improvement of quality across health care. The P4P policy proposal and RWJF align with and compliments each other.
