It is carried out by altering their microstructure in such a way as to achieve the desired mechanical properties. This experiment involves the phase transformations due to heat treatment of the DP600 steel. The importance of dual-phase steel can not be neglected. Due to the impact of the initial microstructure, the effect of heating/cooling rate and phase transformations a wide variety of end products can be produced. This investigation showed that to reach the desired properties, careful analysis and attentive refining in every step of the processing is needed. Martensitic transformation by controlled quenching is an essential step to reach the required mechanical properties.
