As an emergency nurse, I am frequently dealing with social situations which require outside the box thinking to solve problems. The center for anon-violent community is an invaluable resource in my community that has been useful to me in the past when victims of abuse have been brought to the er and need a place to go. They are dedicated individuals who run the center and they are providing a valuable service to people in my community.ReferencesHome. (n.d.). During nursing school, I enjoyed my Psych rotation and seriously though about going into psychiatric nursing. I chose this facility because my brother's best friend got help from this facility when his son started showing signs of mental illness.Brief history and mission of the agency;Hickory Trail Hospital is an 86-bed private behavioral health treatment center located in Desoto, a suburb of Dallas, Texas. The facility is a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) the largest facilities-based provider of behavioral health in the country and is opened 24 hoursa day (Practice Link, n.d.). The focus of the program is "to resolve the crisis that resulted in hospitalization and to create a stable foundation that the patient can continue to develop long after discharge" (Hickory Trail Hospital, n.d.). Their mission is "To provide a full spectrum of mental health services in a safe, caring, therapeutic environment that is continually monitored for quality and efficiency" (Hickory Trail Hospital, n.d.).Target population the agency serves;
The target population that Hickory Trail provides is for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults (Hickory Trail Hospital, n.d.).
