Although we must be aware of our environment for causes of breast cancer, we must also look within our own bodies. Genes are a manual for your body to know its cells should grow and function. If you havea relative there is a slight chance that you will get breast cancer. Although only about 5-10 percent of women who have breast cancer also have a first-degree female relative who also has or has had breast cancer. We must still be aware of the threat, as any female could be in that 5-10 percent of women who are impacted. Any female who has a first-degree female relative should check and see if they also have a risk of getting, or already have breast cancer, and although the risk of being passed an abnormal gene
