the southern end of the Rocky Mountain range down from Wyoming, Colorado, east side of Utah, and northern parts of New Mexico. The dynamic model was a viability analysis based off GIS data, survival and fecundity rates of females, and habitat productivity. The model tracks a population as generations go by based off the factors entered in. It was used to predict population size after a certain amount of time and the estimated time till extinction (Carroll et al. 2016). The dynamic model showed viable reintroduction locations along the Rocky Mountains. The data gave images that would be best suitable for wolves, The Wyoming-Colorado border gave a strong site. Moving south the central western side of Colorado was a weaker location were as Northern New Mexico gave a more suitable location due to its isolation (Carroll et al. 2016). The reintroduction of gray wolves have been a success story for the U.S Fish and Wildlife. Today there are roughly 1,782 gray wolves in the northern Rocky Mountain area and they are being looked at for being delisted from the endangered species list. Humans and game herds in the area are starting to adapt to the presence of wolves. Idaho’s elk herds are now starting to bounce back since the reintroduction. The wolves had a trophic cascade effect in the areas and changed the behavior of many species in the areas.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
