Today I watched a volleyball player get evaluated for a possibly ankle/lower leg injury. I’ve watched evaluations before but not for lower leg injuries. It was cool to see how the AT worked with her foot and ankle. He was really easy going and efficient and did everything he could to make sure he gave the athlete a proper diagnosis. I watched how to administer and analyze some of the tests that AT’s do to check an athlete for a lower limb injury. I would ask more questions about what the AT was doing and why. I think this would have helped me understand that tests a little better and the diagnosis. Observation Day #6 What Happened? Have I done/seen this before? How do I feel about it? What did I learn? What would I do differently, after thinking about it? I watched Annie evaluate an athlete and help determine her rehab for the day. I’ve watched initial evaluations but not any follow up evals until today. It was cool to see Annie use her knowledge to help an athlete that she hadn’t evaluated before. It shows how well she does her job and all that she’s learned. I learned about stress fractures (the injury the athlete had already sustained) and filled out my worksheet for lower body extremities. I would ask more questions, as always!

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
