economic downturn. Whole foods operates under a decentralized type of organization. Financial and other important organization data was made available to company employees. Whole foods enjoys a culture of openness and trust. Internal competition is encouraged in order to provide excellent customer services. Whole Foods has always made profits year after year since the beginning but has recently been faced with cost cutting strategies and declined growth. The organization has had to learn to cut costs and reduce debt. A large acquisition made right before the economic recession of 2008- 2009 caused Whole Foods to reconsider their current culture and leadership. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
