suffering. Cite and reference the lecture and/or Chapter 9 in the textbook. When I think about the Christian worldview response to evil and suffering I think of Job. He continued to trust God even after he lost everything. Christians realize that questioning God about anything is wrong and we must continue to trust him through anything. “God has promisedto come and comfort people through his Holy Spirit if they will surrender to him and let themselves be loved” (Sharpe,2015). So, to me it means it has it all been worked out if we belong to him. Christians also understand that we cannot fault God for evil and suffering for he only wanted good for his creation, he gave us free will to do what we please with it. Jesus suffered on earth and he was Gods son, why would we not be giving the same treatment. 4.Imagine that a close friend has just suffered through a great personal loss (death of a loved one, natural disaster, disease, job loss, divorce, or a broken relationship) and your friend asks you why God would let such a terrible thing happen. How would you respond to your friend?
