Looking at the bigger picture, in one more year, I will have a Master’s in Education, and my dream job to top it off. Personal Journey Disciplines One of the things I love most about nursing is the constant opportunity for personal growth and development. This profession is always evolving, allowing you room to maximize your potential. A strength would be over these past few years I have been diligently working on improving my skills, and value as a nurse. I am now a member of the Shared Leadership Council, and have started preparation for my nursing certification, in the hopes of obtaining my Orthopedic Nursing Certification (ONC), giving me an edge in this competitive profession. A weakness would be my stress management, sometimes I become overwhelmed with my work 3
Professional and Personal Accountability responsibilities, and the demands placed on me, but I have been working a developing healthy coping skills. My Reflective Reference Practice Behaviors/Tenets I take pride in my profession and hold it to the highest standards of integrity. These patients are entrusting themselves to you, and your abilities to perform your duties with strong moral principles. Be consistent with your actions, and how you treat people, every patient deserves your best. Standing by these values has shaped and influenced my nursing practice for the better.
