philosophy believes that some acts are always wrong, regardless of the consequences. A person who took a deontological standpoint would undoubtedly say that abortions are wrong, for two main reasons: a parent has to care for their child, not abort it and that we should treat every person as an end in themselves, not a means to an end. When a woman becomes pregnant and conceives a child, it becomes that woman's duty to take care of that child and to protect it. By aborting a child a woman is not doing her duty to take care of the child, she is doing the opposite of that. The topic of abortion is a controversy that will continue to be around for a very long time, and there is no changing that. As long as there are people on this earth, there will be many different opinions that will differ from one another. Some opinions are held quietly in peoples innermost thoughts, while other people feel that their opinions are important enough to stand up and fight for. People should not be forced to join a side as abortion is entirely circumstantial, and it depends on the woman and the situation to reach a decision to which side that they will take and whether for that situation they are pro-life or pro-choice.
