Unit of Competency SITHKOP005 Coordinate Cooking Operations Coordinate Cooking Operations In this unit you will learn the skills and knowledge required to coordinate the production of food in commercial kitchens. It requires the ability to plan the production of food, organise required food supplies for kitchen production period, supervise food production processes and monitor the quality of kitchen outputs. A knife and small equipment kit Full Chef’s uniform including closed in shoes Student work placement log book A computer with a word processing program Internet access for research purposes Pens What do I need to do to be successful? You will need to complete the learning and undertake all assessments satisfactorily to be deemed competent . You are responsible for complying with all assessment item instructions; submission and collection requirements; undertaking assessment tasks honestly and retaining a copy of all assessment items. You must submit assessment items by the due date, unless an extension has been granted by your trainer. Failure to submit assessment items by the due date will result in a “did not submit” being recorded and depending on your circumstances, you may be granted one final resubmission. Remember that you are demonstrating to your trainer that you understand and can apply the theoretical knowledge you have studied within this course. Therefore all responses are to be answered in a sentence and you need to explain your answers, giving examples using the theory from your lessons to reinforce your answers.
