The Parks and Resorts segment has always been valuable growth driver for the company, and is strategically developed and maintained by the Walt Disney Imagineering unit, who is primarily responsible for the design and development of new theme park concepts and attractions as well as resort properties. The Disney Parks, as explained in a recent Walt Disney Company annual report, “are where we make the closest emotional connection with consumers as millions of them experience first-hand the magic of Disney every year.” Similar to the rest of Disney’s segments, its Parks & Resorts enable them to consistently create offerings that create value and drive growth, helping them to achieve strategic business goals. Tom Staggs, the Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, explained this the best when he stated “Now, at Disney Parks,we are known for the iconic assets that we build: our castles, hotels, and cruise ships.
