from China, but I am not Chinese. I am Hmong; this is not very common, in fact our language just got added to Google translate which is pretty cool. My ancestors originated from Eastern Asia. So, with all of this being said I have a few identities in mind where I belong. One being the Asian category. This is important to me because it shows who I am and where I came from; I love knowing the roots of myself. I also fit in the female category. Being a female is tough in today’s society, and it is important to me because I know I have the ability to match up with a male who may look down on us women. I also slightly consider myself as socially awkward. I can start conversations with a simple “how’s your day going” but I see this as being important because I have the chance to grow. Especially with this class. Another category I see myself suitable for is fit. This is important to me because it shows what I love. I am not a crazy athletic gal, but I enjoy hiking and going to the gym. My last category I belong in is adventurous. This is important to me because it shows me a wide variety of things. I love gaining new knowledge and widening my horizons. I am very spontaneous, so I will do just about anything that doesn’t involve spiders. Hope you guys enjoyed and I apologize for such a long intro. I am just excited to get to know everyone and go through this class with great classmates!
