he was quick to continuously shoot them down because it wasn’t what he was thinking or expected. An example of this was during the cards activity we wanted to stack the cards in individual number piles so it would be easy to see something like “oh we have four 4’s laying here this can be a fall back to guess on if we get stumped” and so just little things like that was kind of irritating whenever he would shoot them down. That being said, I think they did a good job of picking quality activities for their target market. They were designed, in theory, to be simple and engaging and speaking for myself, I had a good time. This holds especially true for when we broke into our small groups. I was able to branch away from my cluster of friends in the class and fully immerse myself with my team in a productive way largely due to the enjoyment I got out of completing the activities with them. One thing I would’ve done differently would be to not deter the out-of-the-box thinking that some groups would come up

with during activities, but rather encourage them to almost ‘cheat’ the game and come up with unique ideas. This is because it lets people express their creativity and I think that’s important when creating group cohesion. There are quiet people in every group and I’m sure some of them would think of creative new ways to complete an activity, but without being allowed to express that idea they would just continue to keep to themselves. If they had been able to express that unique idea then I think it could help some of the quieter students break out of their shell. This team-building experience was a very enjoyable time, even if it was lengthy. One big takeaway from this experience was that my group works really well together. Before this my group wasn’t really super interactive because we didn’t have the opportunity to get to know one another besides the usual forced icebreakers stuff. Since this activity has been completed though I know for myself that I have been way more vocal and open with members from my group. I can honestly consider them friends and would hang out with them outside of the classroom environment. I think that specific takeaway is a really important dynamic to the group coming together at the end of the year and putting together a project that will impact each and every one of us. This experience was able to show me a little bit of peoples strengths and some of their weaknesses and that’s going to be a huge help when it comes to getting the project done at the end of the semester.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
