Other than the known “monetary product” the exchange that the company provides is a lasting keepsake that the customer built in exchange for the customer’s happiness and the relationship built so that they can return and spread positive word about their experience. This will expand the company’s customer base. 3. The marketing management concept that best describes the Build-A-Bear Workshop is the production concept. This concept holds that customer’s favor products that are available and highly affordable. This statement is true when it comes to Build-A-Bear. With more than 200 stores, the availability is defiantly there. Customers are seemingly never too far to have a bear made. Secondly, with the cost of each bear running anywhere from 10 to roughly 25 bucks, it shows that the product is affordable. (Especially for a custom made item). The production and distribution is great for the store as stations are available for each step of the makeup of the bear. Lastly, I do not see marketing myopia as a threat for this company. The company servers the customer’s needs and has built relationships.
